Dear Michelle, It seems like just yesterday we began our friendship. Your laughter and smiles will be missed so much. I can look back on every important part of my growing up and you were there. I remember our first day of school, I remember years later seeing you walk by in a hallway and thinking wow she looks JUST like Michelle from wayyyy back when. I remember being inseperable in junior high, writing letters back and forth constantly and always always in trouble for talking during class. I remember when we got older, we appreciated the differences between us and embraced them. I remember wishing I could be more like you in a lot of ways. I am so sad that our friendship has to be put to bed for now. But I am so glad that I can look back and say yes I knew her and yes she was MY FRIEND. If I could say one thing to you only it would be thank you for always being my friend no matter what and I miss you terribly. Love Always, Sheli

This was our first day of school. Michelle and I went to the same kindegarten, sat next to each other on the bus and in class. She seemed to like school right away, where I was more leery. This was in Sept of 1980 I believe.
