A special little girl God gave to us one day,
You were placed into our arms for us to lead your way.

The love we had for you was right from the very start,
Has grown so much and now it completely fills our hearts.

Our lives have had some laughter,
We've had our share of tears.
But God has given each their place,
With the passing of the years.

When it seems like I can't go on anymore,
God gives me hope to face another day.
He takes my hand and leads me past,
All the obstacles that are in my way.

With him, my problems aren't quite,
As bad as they seem to be.

He takes my burdened heart,
And with his love, he sets it free.

My precious baby girl, what they say isn't true...
I may learn to live with it, but I will never forget about you.

I won't forget the first word, the very first step, or your first smile I still see..
Or the evil grin on your face when you were bad, God how can this be?

The answer is very clear, because you mean so much to me...
You belong to God now and not me.
 
I won't be able hear you tell, about the guy who's love is so true...
I will never get to watch with pride, on the day you say, I do.
 
You will always have people who'll love you...
God has taken you home, to be with him to.
 
We tried to teach you the right way to live...
I just wish we had more time to give to you.

Through the days and the years that go by, I'll never forget you ...
That you'll be in my heart forever, and my love will always be true.
